About the role
The Human Resources Advisor will be an important member of the HR team and play a key role in providing accurate and timely HR advice and support to managers and employees. A true HR generalist role encompassing recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, industrial relations, development, and compliance. The role provides the opportunity to develop your HR experience while building strong relationships, driving continuous improvement, and delivering meaningful employee experiences.
Key tasks and Responsibilities
- Coordinate end to end recruitment activities, from advertising through to onboarding.
- Maintain and update HR polices, ensuring they remain current and compliant.
- Manage and update employee records with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Maintain the HRIS (Connx).
- Assist in the resolution of grievances or employee issues.
- Coaching managers on best practice, performance management, conversations and investigations.
- Providing advice and assistance on Human Resources policies and procedures.
- Play an active part in planning and establishing the HR strategy.
- Work collaboratively with the HR team.
- Support the Human Resources Manager with HR initiatives.
About You
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an HR practitioner in a blue-collar environment.
- Sound experience providing generalist HR advice and support to Supervisor's and Managers
- Solid understanding of employment laws and industrial relations, particularly Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster strong relationships at all levels.
- A proactive, results-oriented mindset, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Right to work in Australia.
